Linear Plastics, a leading toolmaker and contract injection moulder in the plastics manufacturing industry, proudly celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2024. Founded in October 1974 in Pontypridd, Linear Plastics has transformed over the years from humble beginnings into a recognized leader in the field, continuously setting standards for quality, innovation, and sustainability.
A Journey of Growth and Innovation
Linear Plastics’ journey began at its original location on Berw Road, Pontypridd, where the company’s founders laid the groundwork for what would become a legacy of success. Over the years, the company has expanded its capabilities, becoming an industry leader through a commitment to excellence in manufacturing and customer service.
In 2012, Linear Plastics made a strategic move to its current site on Tonteg Road in the Treforest Industrial Estate, a decision that has been key to the company’s ongoing success. This site, coupled with a major expansion in 2015, which increased the company’s operational capacity to an impressive 52,000 square feet, has allowed Linear Plastics to meet the growing demand for its products while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

As the company celebrates its 50th anniversary, Linear Plastics is not just reflecting on its achievements, but also looking to the future. The company has committed to continuing its investment in technology and infrastructure to maintain its competitive edge in the industry. One of the company’s key investments is in sustainability: Linear Plastics is set to complete a major photovoltaic (PV) solar system installation by March 2025, in collaboration with Sustain Commercial Solar. This significant step underscores the company’s commitment to reducing its carbon footprint and embracing renewable energy as part of its sustainable growth strategy.
